Birthday Balloons

I am finally posting my first freebie!  Birthday Balloons! I know a lot of us do this but I wanted a balloon that was just a little bigger.  For those who haven't heard of Birthday Balloons I buy the long Pixie Sticks from Sam's Club. They are about $12.  Then when one of my students has a birthday I staple a balloon on the Pixie Stick.  I make my students take them home but you could let them eat them in class if you want.  As I said before, this balloon is bigger than the one I found on Pinterest.  For a free copy click on the picture and it will take you to my Google Doc where you can download it.

Grandparent's Day

It has been a busy week!  I don't know how we teachers teach all day, create exciting TPT products,  write on our blogs, and play Candy Crush at the same time!  Whew!

Last week we had Grandparent's Day!  We read the book How to Babysit a Grandpa by Jean Reagan.  Then we brainstormed 5 ways we could babysit our grandma and grandpa.  We then wrote, edited and published our own stories about babysitting a grandpa and grandma.  BTW heads up the new book How to Babysit a Grandma, will be out sometime in March!  Our grandparents turned out really cute!  You can get the link to this craftivity here:

Classroom Organizer

I found this idea on Pinterest!  I can't wait to use this in my classroom!  It helps when you have a mother, who is a retired teacher,  help you!  Thanks mom! Now who can help me make a cute bow! LOL

Pencil Dispensers

We have had a wonderful first two weeks of school!  Now I am ready for some college football!  How about you?

Before school started I bought a stainless steel straw dispenser from Ebay and turned it into a pencil dispenser!  The kiddos love it!  I put different colored pencils in it.  Now they guess which color they will get.   Here's mine:

Can you tell I like pigs?  My room this year is decorated in a pig theme and I keep adding more!

I also have a pencil dispenser that was custom made from a seller on Etsy!  It is like a gum ball machine.    Here is what is looks like!  Click the picture for the link to the Etsy seller!

I actually have new pencils in this one also.  This is the photo the seller emailed me.  I will have more to come.  Right now I have to go to an OU Sooners Football game!  Boomer!
